The lack of vitamins, fungal infections, housework, cold or hot weather and many, many other things can damage your nails. And ugly nails will surely spoil the effect of even the most beautiful hands in the world. How should you fight all those nail problems and make your nails beautiful and healthy? Today’s market is full of different manicure products and nail polishes with healing and strengthening effects. But there are also many natural ways to get rid of nail problems. Since I prefer natural products to chemical ones, in this post I’ll tell you how you can keep your nails healthy with the help of three nail mixtures from natural ingredients. You can make these mixtures yourself and it won’t take you much time. Apply these mixtures on your nails at least once or twice a week, and you’ll see the result very soon. 1. Rosewater mixture You’ll need three tablespoons of rosewater, a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of glycerin. Mix the rosewater and the lemon juice, add the glycerin, mix all the ingredients well and apply the mixture on your nails in the evening. Don’t wash your hands; leave the mixture on them till the morning. Rosewater is one of the most important natural ingredients that help to keep your nails healthy. It has a great antiseptic effect and can fight many infections, including fungal infections, so this mixture (and rosewater in general) should be included in your hand nail care without questions, especially if your nails are damaged or infected with fungi. 2. Chestnut mixture You’ll need 12-15 ripe chestnuts, a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of vegetable oil. Boil the chestnuts in water, then peel and mash them. Melt the honey and mix it with the mashed chestnuts, then add the lemon juice and the vegetable oil. Mix the ingredients, apply the mixture on your nails and leave for 20-25 minutes, then wash your hands with cold water. Chestnuts make your nails grow faster and healthier and improve their color (especially if your nails are dull and yellowing). 3. Peach mixture For this mixture you’ll need a ripe peach, a tablespoon of lemon juice (again fresh, naturally) and a teaspoon of glycerin. Remove the pit from the peach and mash it, then mix it well with lemon and glycerin. Apply this mixture on your nails. After 15 minutes you can remove the excess mixture with a wet piece of cotton. Peaches and lemons are rich in vitamins and useful minerals, so they provide great natural nail care. Pascale Loveniers Akwa Beauty & Wellness Belgium
