The lack of vitamins, fungal infections, housework, cold or hot weather and many, many other things can damage your nails. And ugly nails will surely spoil the effect of even the most beautiful hands in the world.
How should you fight all those nail problems and make your nails beautiful and healthy? Today’s market is full of different manicure products and nail polishes with healing and strengthening effects. But there are also many natural ways to get rid of nail problems.
Since I prefer natural products to chemical ones, in this post I’ll tell you how you can keep your nails healthy with the help of three nail mixtures from natural ingredients. You can make these mixtures yourself and it won’t take you much time. Apply these mixtures on your nails at least once or twice a week, and you’ll see the result very soon.
1. Rosewater mixture
You’ll need three tablespoons of rosewater, a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of glycerin. Mix the rosewater and the lemon juice, add the glycerin, mix all the ingredients well and apply the mixture on your nails in the evening. Don’t wash your hands; leave the mixture on them till the morning.
Rosewater is one of the most important natural ingredients that help to keep your nails healthy. It has a great antiseptic effect and can fight many infections, including fungal infections, so this mixture (and rosewater in general) should be included in your hand nail care without questions, especially if your nails are damaged or infected with fungi.
2. Chestnut mixture
You’ll need 12-15 ripe chestnuts, a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of vegetable oil. Boil the chestnuts in water, then peel and mash them. Melt the honey and mix it with the mashed chestnuts, then add the lemon juice and the vegetable oil. Mix the ingredients, apply the mixture on your nails and leave for 20-25 minutes, then wash your hands with cold water.
Chestnuts make your nails grow faster and healthier and improve their color (especially if your nails are dull and yellowing).
3. Peach mixture
For this mixture you’ll need a ripe peach, a tablespoon of lemon juice (again fresh, naturally) and a teaspoon of glycerin. Remove the pit from the peach and mash it, then mix it well with lemon and glycerin. Apply this mixture on your nails. After 15 minutes you can remove the excess mixture with a wet piece of cotton.
Peaches and lemons are rich in vitamins and useful minerals, so they provide great natural nail care.

Winter weather brings excitement to our closet! Cold weather offers an opportunity to cover up imperfections. To take advantage, add the following simple tips to your style repertoire:
One of the most consistent rules of fashion is to invest in pieces of high quality that will last throughout the winter, and honor style trends with accessories. Look for classically-cut basics in muted colors such as navy, black, white, brown and tan.
Wear fabrics that offer warmth while maintaining a sleek silhouette.
Cashmere and silk are luxurious fabrics that are incredibly warming without adding unnecessary bulkiness. Additionally, look for fun pieces made of corduroy, velvet and faux-fur – all in style this season.
Add color with accessories: The best way to wear color this season is to draw attention with purses, jewelry, gloves, scarves and hats - (please don’t wear all of these at once).
Buy a great pair of boots! Whether worn beneath your slacks or over a pair of leggings, knee-high boots elongate your body and add interest to otherwise simple styles. Boots maintain warmth while dressing up any outfit.

It is difficult to achieve a new look with complete grace. When you abandon your daily beauty rituals for new ones… well, you feel a little off balance. But, after a day or so, you become comfortable with your new style – then you can work it.
Just add or omit a new detail every day, then ease into it. If your hair is light, gradually bring it darker - and vice a versa.
If you wear your nails long, cut them short and paint them a dark color – wear bright lip color on typically pale lips.
Cut bangs, wear incredibly defined lashes, scarves, jewelry, sunglasses, gloves… whatever you are comfortable in. Just keep your style interesting by evolving it.

What you learned when you first started applying makeup has likely changed, or was simply wrong to begin with. If you want your look to remain modern, relearn makeup application techniques as you age.
Bronzer should only go where the sun hits your face; the nose, forehead, chin and apples of the cheeks.
Concealer should be applied lower than the bottom lash line. Light reflects upward, so this will brighten dark circles.
Mascara should be applied to the base of the lash line. After hours of mascara sitting on the tips, it wears heavy and makes beautifully curled lashes fall.
Blush should be dabbed on the apples and blended outwards with fingertips. To avoid the “clown look,” do not apply blush to the center of your cheeks.
